Salary – (£31,985 – £34,801)

We have an exciting new opportunity within our Gas Team for a Surveyor to work between our investment projects in both Glasgow and Dumfries & Galloway areas.

As a Surveyor within the Investment area of the business, your main role will involve liaising with customers, clients and contractors alike and working to set design requirements ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times.

Primarily reporting to the Gas Manager who will allocate works accordingly, you will attend pre-arranged appointments with either our in house asbestos operatives or asbestos supply chains.

Main duties will be to compile drawing layouts for new heating, boilers and full systems and renewables installations as per client specifications. Once completed they will be transferred to our own City Building design format for forwarding to our supply chain.

You must also be flexible in your work approach and be willing to cover both Glasgow and surrounding areas along with Dumfries & Galloway areas.

You will be an integral part of the business and will be enthusiastic, customer focused and have a flexible approach to working hours.

You will have a surveying or industry relevant background with experience of working within this area. You will have excellent inter personal, communication and analytical skills. You will have good IT skills, Stars and Heat Calculations and Design software. You will ensure that excellent customer service is provided at all times.

You should have a demonstrable track record in service delivery and customer service and be able to act on your own initiative. You must be prepared to undertake any relevant qualification/training as necessary. You will be fully conversant with up to date issues within the business area and an innovative approach to new developments and advances in technology.

This post will involve travel both within the Glasgow and Dumfries & Galloway areas therefore a current valid driving licence is essential.
As the first point of contact for City Building you will act as a primary link with residents/residents

Hours of work are 37 per week to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the business.

Salary placing will be dependent on skills and experience. In addition, we offer a wide-ranging generous benefits package including pension scheme and access to enhanced leave and sick pay arrangements.
