Salary – £43,877
District/Communal Heating Engineers (4 on 4 Off)
Applications are invited from experienced time served district/communal-heating engineers with the relevant qualifications to operate across the Glasgow and Dumfries and Galloway area delivering breakdown/reactive repairs/servicing and installation works. You would also be expected to carry out an element of servicing and repairs in a domestic environment if there is a downturn in District, communal and group Heating repairs.
We operate a 4 on 4 off working pattern within the Gas Section which significantly improves our timescales and ensures the needs of our customers is always the focus of our service provision. You will be required to use our mobile handheld technology systems.
You must be fully conversant with up-to-date issues relating to domestic and commercial district heating, biomass, heat pumps, combined heat and power, Heat Interface Units (HIU’S), BMS, group/communal and Electrical Plant Engineering. Possession of a full driving licence is essential as is a flexible approach to ensure a high-quality service.
You will be working on a 4 on 4 off working pattern. The hours of work in the main will be 8.00am – 8.00pm, however we try to operate a flexible work pattern and other shift patterns could be discussed at the interview stage, management would advise any variance to these hours in advance.
