Compliance Administrator (Asbestos)

Salary – £24,849 – £27,230

An Opportunity has arisen within our Asbestos Survey Section for an experienced Asbestos Compliance Administrator working within a small but busy team of Surveyors and Administrators in our Springburn Office. You will report directly to the Asbestos Technical Manager.

Your specific responsibilities will include answering telephone calls, booking in survey requests, making appointments with Tenants, processing sample results and compiling asbestos survey reports. This will involve using MS Visio to draw site plans and AlphaTracker software to create survey reports. You will also assist with all other administrative tasks including purchasing, invoicing and filing etc.

All works must comply with HSE Guidance Asbestos: The Survey Guide – HSG264 so a good knowledge of the asbestos industry is required. Knowledge and experience of working within a UKAS-accredited organisation is essential.

You will be experienced within the Asbestos sector, be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a friendly and calm telephone manner. You will be highly focused and must have exceptional attention to detail. You must possess excellent IT skills especially MS Word, Excel and Outlook and enjoy dealing with Clients, Tenants and Surveyors on a daily basis.

You should be keen and enthusiastic to learn new skills, with a flexible approach to work and the ability to multi-task while working to deadlines. Any additional asbestos, administration or business qualifications or experience working in other areas of the asbestos industry such as surveying, lab analysis or sampling would be advantageous. Excellent training opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.
