BMX Race Track

City Building is seeking offers for: Design, Supply and Building of BMX Race Track and Ancillary Works.

City Building (Contracts) LLP requires to procure the design, supply and building of a BMX Racing track and ancillary works in conjunction with Glasgow 2018. The organising team for the proposed inaugural European Championships in the summer of 2018 co-hosted by Glasgow and Berlin have identified a site in Knightswood, Glasgow where a new Olympic-standard BMX race track is to be built.

The object of the contract is to procure the expertise of a BMX specialist in both design and managing the build of proposed Event BMX Track etc. that complies with current UCI regulations (Union Cyliste Internationale) for an International Standard Elite BMX Racing Track; and complies with British Cycling regulations (European Series)

Failure to provide satisfactory evidence that all requirements as stated within the ESPDS and Tender documents are met and evidenced may result in disqualification from the tender process.

Levels of insurance required, Employer’s Liability insurance minimum £10million, Public Liability insurance minimum £5million, Products Liability insurance minimum £5 million. Professional Indemnity Insurance £5million.

Award criteria will be based on the most economically advantageous tender in terms of the criteria stated in the tender document.
