Finance Manager
Salary – £49,236 – £53,908
The Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance Team within the City Building Group, comprising City Building Glasgow LLP (CBG) and City Building Contracts LLP (CBC). The City Building group operates in the construction industry and has a combined turnover in excess of £200m per annum with a workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
You will assist the Financial Controller in the provision of the monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, liaison with internal & external auditors, financial planning and financial performance activities. You will be part of integrated and professional finance team, delivering the highest levels of financial management consistent with the business objectives.
You will deputise for the Financial Controller as required. You will play a key role in the identification of new business efficiencies and improved business systems, ensuring we are always equipped to respond to changing needs whilst safeguarding the interests of the business. You will bring a strong commercially focused finance skill, evident influencing abilities and excellent analytical skills. You will develop a good understanding of the business and the industry it operates in and provide financial and commercial direction in support of the Business Plan.
You will be fully qualified (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) or be qualified by experience. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be knowledgeable and credible in the relevant areas and will always represent the interests of the business and will display a track record of relationship building and influencing others. You will be proficient in MS Office and will ideally have experience in the use of SAP’s finance package. You will be required to have a flexible approach to this role and in your contribution to the success of the business.
