About the Role

The Driver/ General Operative plays a key role within the Void delivery team of City Building.

In this role you will undertake a range of general labouring duties, including manual handling, site maintenance, and supporting trades.
In addition to driving duties, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, safe and accurate loading of goods, accurate completion of delivery documentation, and the collection and disposal of site debris. You will also ensure that any issues that may arise are recorded and communicated to management at the first opportunity.
You will demonstrate a proactive approach to Health and Safety in your duties. You will ensure compliance with all City Building policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring

The successful candidate will be an experienced Driver/ General Operative with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a busy team to support safe, efficient, and well-coordinated daily operations.

You will be a strong communicator with a strong ability to follow instructions and provide effective support to trades.

Strong time management skills are essential for this role as you will have to be reliable and punctual to meet customer delivery expectations. You will engage professionally with customers during deliveries to drive excellent customer satisfaction.

You must hold a full UK driving licence. Experience working within the construction industry is advantageous.
