HR Business Partner

Salary – £45,942 – £49,236

We are looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR team to provide HR expertise to managers and employees across our various business areas.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our business area managers, employees and trade unions, and will be responsible for the provision of a professional, timely and accurate HR advice and guidance and employee relations support.
You will be involved in assisting the HR Manager and Head of People & Development in other areas such as organisational redesign, succession planning, TUPE, policy creation or updates and corporate projects and reviewing the effectiveness and impact of existing arrangements and providing innovative solutions for implementation.

In addition, you will support and direct the HR team on the effective management of employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence. A key part of your role will be working closely with business area managers, providing strategic direction as well as coaching and mentoring them to increase their effectiveness in such areas as resourcing and performance.

As an experienced HR professional, you will have experience of working closely with managers to create positive business outcomes and performance in a unionised environment. It is essential that you can evidence your technical HR skills particularly in relation to employment legislation, terms and conditions of employment, employee relations and providing HR advice and guidance on a variety of policies and contractual terms. We are looking for an engaging, proactive and resilient individual with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
