Former Old Firm stars launch City Building Healthy Living Initiative
GLASGOW—February 18, 2008
As part of its commitment to lifelong learning and personal development, City Building (Glasgow) LLP has put together a proposal for a ‘Healthy Living’ option for its first year apprentices. This will be delivered in partnership with Glasgow Metropolitan College, Celtic Community Development and Rangers Community Development.
City Building is keen for its employees and young people to have a healthy lifestyle, which will benefit them throughout their adult and working lives. This programme deals with many of the issues that affect young people’s lives, while giving them access to a fitness programme that will be at the core of healthy living.
Glasgow Metropolitan College will deliver a fitness programme in its fully-equipped fitness centre, which will monitor fitness over a six-week period. This will lead to a fitness programme that can be continued in the fitness suite once the initial six-week course is completed.
Celtic and Rangers will jointly deliver sessions on social issues at their state-of-the-art facilities, including fitness sessions based around football training.
