GLASGOW—December 7, 2007

Budding young artists have been recognised by Glasgow construction firm City Building as winners of their 2007 Christmas card design competition.

Floods of entries from primary and special education needs schools across the city were received – and the standard was so high City Building managing director Willie Docherty eventually picked two winning entries.

The winners, Kimberley Regan [15] from Abercorn School in Cowcaddens and Conor McGeoch [10] from St Ninian’s Primary, Knightswood both won book tokens and vouchers for Buchanan Galleries, with Kimberley also winning £500 towards funds for her school.

The designs were mounted and presented to the children during a prize giving ceremony attended by City Building staff.

1,000 Christmas cards featuring the winning designs have now been produced and are on their way to businesses and corporate contacts across the country.
