Where There’s a Will, There’s Defintely a Way

GLASGOW—September 25, 2008

A young Scottish apprentice has been awarded Scotland’s Federation of Master Builders Apprentice of the year 2008. Stephen Millar, who won the 4th year category APSE Apprentice of the Year award was also named Scottish Federation of Master Builders’ Apprentice of The Year - a much sought after award.

Stephen, who is deaf, is a woodmachinist at Royal Strathclyde Blind Industries said “The training I received through City Building has been excellent and taking the Scottish title is testament to that.” George Gaffney, Manager at RSBi, said “Stephen really has an excellent attitude and shows a remarkable keenness to learn his trade.”

Willie Docherty, managing director at City Building (Glasgow) praised Stephen and said “Stephen should be very proud of what he has achieved.”
